UBC Properties Trust hosts FIFA Club World Cup screenings, family movies, and live music in Wesbrook Village
UBC Properties Trust is bringing the energy of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup to Wesbrook Village this summer with a series of free outdoor public screenings of every game on a big screen in Norman MacKenzie Square.
From June 14 to July 13, residents and visitors can enjoy free live match viewings in the heart of Wesbrook with an open invitation to gather, connect, and cheer on your favourite teams!
Between games, we’re also bringing a series of movies the whole family can enjoy under the big tent. These events are happening in tandem with Summer Sounds at UBC, a UBCPT-sponsored live music series happening a few times a week in both Wesbrook Village and University Boulevard.

The screenings and events are part of UBC Properties’ ongoing activation of public spaces and supporting community engagement through inclusive events for everyone. Attendees are encouraged to bring their friends and family, grab a picnic from one of the surrounding eateries, and settle in for an afternoon or evening of enjoyment.
Beyond the events themselves, the event also highlights the local businesses that make Wesbrook Village a great place to spend the day. Cafés, restaurants, and shops will be open, offering a range of food and beverage options, such as Nicli Pizzeria, Sports Illustrated Clubhouse, or Doughgirls Bakeshop. Grab an exotic snack from Lucky’s Bodega, browse Murchie’s Coffee + Tea for gifts, or take an art class at 4Cats Arts Studio before you settle in to watch the game or a movie.
A full schedule of events is available at liveatubc.ca/events. We encourage you to share photos on social media and tag @liveatubc and @ubcpropertiestrust.
We invite the community and those in Greater Vancouver to come out, support local businesses, and enjoy the space.
