Verve: From launch to fully leased before move-ins
UBC Properties Trust has reached a milestone with Verve, its vibrant 18-storey, 221-unit residential rental tower in the Wesbrook Place neighbourhood at UBC Point Grey.
The last tenancy agreement has been signed to mark Verve as fully leased as of August 15, 2025, two weeks ahead of its official opening on September 1.
Verve is located in the southeast corner of the neighbourhood and is designed to cater to a broad range of needs with studios to three-bedroom homes. In addition to Verve, two other faculty and staff rental buildings are located on the project site, Theory and Symphony. These buildings provide a total of 515 new homes in Wesbrook Place. The now completed site is UBC Properties Trust’s largest residential rental project built to date.
Residents will enjoy amenities like a shared study lounge, outdoor patio, secure bike storage, on-site parking, air-conditioned homes, and even an on-site daycare with 37 spaces opening early 2026. The project is just steps away from neighbourhood parks and greenways, shops and services in Wesbrook Village, and Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
Understanding that a significant share of renters would be students and young adults, the leasing campaign took a fresh approach to appeal to this audience with bold branding and socially savvy language in marketing materials.
From the campaign launch in April to mid-August, Verve was fully leased in 19 weeks. Verve’s leasing success is the result of combined efforts from all teams involved, from development to marketing and leasing. We look forward to welcoming the new residents to the neighbourhood.
