UBC Properties Trust brings a festive holiday market to Wesbrook Village

UBC Properties Trust is excited to host the first annual Wesbrook Village Holiday Market at Norman MacKenzie Square, bringing together residents, visitors, and local businesses in a celebration of community and holiday cheer.

From November 30 to December 22, the market will run every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 7pm, transforming the square into a bustling hub of artisan goods, festive decorations, and smiling faces.

To kick off the festivities, a special tree lighting ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 28 at 6:00 pm beginning with a choir performance. This magical moment will illuminate the heart of Wesbrook as a memorable start to the holiday season.

The Holiday Market will feature a variety of rotating vendors each day, offering unique gifts perfect for holiday shopping. The diverse lineup ensures that every visit brings something new for market-goers to explore the creativity of local makers.

In addition to fostering holiday spirit, neighbourly connections, and visitor delight, community events like this market and the Olympics streaming event are designed to support Wesbrook’s commercial tenants — guests can conveniently warm up with seasonal drinks and delicious food from surrounding businesses while shopping for gifts.

“This market is more than a shopping destination,” says Emer Byrne, Director of Marketing at UBCPT. “It’s an opportunity to strengthen the sense of community among residents and visitors, while also shining a spotlight on the local businesses who make this area so special.”

This event is part of our Live at UBC brand, which aims to raise awareness of the residential neighbourhoods at UBC Point Grey. Stay tuned for vendor updates and additional details on Live at UBC’s social media.
