Echo, built by UBC Properties and managed by Village Gate Homes, is a 6-storey wood frame faculty and staff rental building nestled in the heart of Wesbrook Place on Gray Avenue.
Echo is a community-focused complex with a range of 152 studio to 4-bedroom homes allowing for a variety of resident family sizes. City homes on the lower level provide even more space for larger families.
While making full use of the site space with the maximum allowable housing, it has been specifically designed to complement the surrounding environment while adapting to future builds. Blending architecture seamlessly with the landscape, the first two floors are undercut to enhance the pedestrian experience with more open space at the base while strolling through the neighbourhood. The side adjacent to the courtyard is stepped to maximize sunlight to units and public spaces, also creating a unique backdrop.
Echo has indoor and outdoor amenity spaces, including a shared courtyard with Evolve, its sister faculty and staff building, allowing residents to foster connections with their neighbours.
