Old Barn Community Centre
The Old Barn Community Centre provides a social, recreational, and community gathering place not only for the Hawthorn Place and university residents, but also for students and the general public to enjoy the adjoining amenities.
The Centre is located on a site that was previously occupied by the “Old Horse Barn” – a historic UBC building. This barn was demolished in September 2003 as a result of concerns for its structural integrity. You can enjoy a coffee at Bean Around the World, book meeting rooms, attend the fitness facility, and enjoy a number of social spaces.
